Volkmann's ischaemic contracture benefited by muscle slide operation.

A bo aged twelve years fell in 1949 and sustained a supracondvlar fracture of the right elbow with backward displacement of the lower fragment. On tile same day the fracture reduced. The hospital notes are scant ’ , but it seems likely that there some vascular damage at that time which escaped notice.
